As previously
stated there is not a fixed treatment scheme in Tui Na as the treatment
is fitted each time to the receiving person. The following manoeuvres,
listed in the "five body areas" are performed according
to the main schemes of the Nanjing chinese traditional medicine
University didactic and practiced also by the Italian chinese traditional
medicine Academy. To these schemes we add, for each case, the needed
manoeuvres. For completeness we reported also the more complex techniques,
not previously described.
Shoulders
and arms
1) Yi Zhi Chan
Tui Fa around the shoulders, 3-5 minutes
2) Yi Zhi Chan Tui Fa from Jianyu (LI 15) Binao (LI 14) Quchi (LI
1 1) Shousanli (LI 10) Waiguan (TE 5) Hegu (LI 4), up and down,
3-5 times.
3) Gun Fa:
a) On the
front side of the shoulder with passive patient movements, 3-5
minutes.
b) On the upper portion of the shoulders, with passive patient
movements, 3-5 minutes.
c) On the back of the shoulders with passive patient movements,
3-5 minutes.
4) Cuo Fa and
Rou Fa on the shoulders, 1-3 minutes.
5) Yao Fa of the shoulders (sustaining the patient's elbow, 5-10
times, then a wide open Yaò Fa (the "gondolier"
movement) 5-10 times.)
6) Na Fa and Rou Fa on the arm, up and down, 3-5 times.
7) Goudian Fa on the arm, 1-3 times.
8) Cuo Fa on the arm, up and down, 5- 10 times.
9) Nian Fa and Ba Sheng Fa for each finger, 1-3 times.
10) Tanbo Fa and Ma Fa on the back of the hand, 1-3 times.
11) Arms Dou Fa 3-5 times.
12) Pi Fa between the fingers, 1-3 times.
13) Ca Fa on both the arm's sides until the arm becomes very warm.
Nape
of the neck and upper back
1) Yi Zhi Chan
Tui Fa from the occiput to Dazhui (GV 14), 3-5 times.
2) Yi Zhi Chan Tui Fa with the external fingers moving like a butterfly,
1-3 times.
3) Tui Fa with with a finger on Qiaogongxue (Extra), 5-10 times.
4) Gun Fa from the occiput to Dazhui (GV 14) together with oter
head movements (front/back), 5-10 times.
5) Gun Fa from Jian jing (GB 21) to the other Jian jing (GB 21),
5-10 times.
6) Yao Fa and Ban Fa of the nape of the neck: with an appropriate
wideness of movement.
7) Kou Fa with the back of the hand up and down along the back,
3-5 times.
8) Ban Fa of the thoracic vertebrae, 3-5 times.
9) Na Fa on the nape of the neck, 5-10 times.
10) Na Fa on both theJian jing (GB 21), 5-10 times.
11) Ma Fa on Jian jing (GB 21), 3-5 times.
Head and face
1) Yi Zhi Chan
Tui Fa on the following lines:
a) Yingtang
(Extra) Shenting (GV 24), 3-5 times.
b) Zanzhu (BL 2) Yangbai (GB 14) Taiyang (Extra) Shuaigu (GB 8)
Touwei (ST 8), 3-5 times.
c) Jingming (BL 2) Yingxiang (LI 20) Dicang (ST 4) Xiaguan (ST
7) Jiache (ST 6) Chengjiang (CV 24), 3-5 times.
d) Su Baihui (GV 20).
2) An Fa and Rou Fa with fingers and tenar eminence on various face
points.
3) Na Wu Jing Fa, 3-5 times.
4) Sao San Fa, 5-10 times.
5) Gou Rou Shuang Xue Fa, 1-3 minutes.
6) "Tapping" the top of the head with hand palm, 3-5 times.
7) Ma Fa on head and face, 3-5 times.
Chest
and abdomen
1) Yi Zhi Chan
Tui Fa from Tanzhong (CV 17) Zhongwan (CV12) Qihai (CV 6) Guanyuan
(CV 4), for 5-10 times.
2) Tui Fa and Mo Fa on Zhongwan (CV 12) and Tianshu (ST 25), 1-3
minutes.
3) Tui Yun Pi Wei Fa, 5-10 times.
4) Mo Fa with the full hand palm on the absomen clockwise and counterclockwise
for 3-5 minutes each sense.
5) Ca Fa on the chest (areas differ for either men or women).
6) Fen Tui Fa on the hypochondrium and the surrounding area until
it starts to warm.
7) Ca Fa on both the trunk sides, 5-10 times.
8) Kou Fa on the back, 3-5 times.
9) Na Fa on Jianjing (GB 21), 5-10 times.
10) Ma Fa
Loins area and Legs
1) Gun Fa on
the back, from the shoulders to the hip, for 5-10 times.
2) Gun Fa from Huantiao (GB 30) Weizhong (BL 40) Chengshan (BL 57),
for per 5-10 times.
3) An Rou Fa on Jiaji (Extra point), for 3-5 times.
4) Zhua Ji FA, 5-10 times.
5) Ca Fa along the column sides, vertically and transversally between
Shenshu (BL 23) and Mingmen (GV 4) , and ont the sacrum area until
it results warmed.
6) Gun Fa from the inguen, Futu (ST 32) Zusanli (ST 36) Xuanzhong
(GB 39), repeated for 3-5 times.
7) Gun Fa medial legs line, 2-3 times.
8) An Rou Fa on the knees (simultaneously, with both hands), 1-3
minutes.
9) Yao Fa of legs and knees for 5-10 minutes.
10) Ba Shen Fa on both legs.
11) Kou Ji Fa from thighs to the lower legs area, 3-5 times.
12) Ban Fa manipulation of the loins area with the patient on its
side.
13) Ca Fa on the legs.
